Morocco is valued as a popular destination for tourists who love mountains, beaches, and deserts. Moreover, if you want to enjoy North African culture with a tight pocket, Morocco is definitely the best option for you. The cost of living here is so cheap. You can have fun tours and exciting activities here without breaking the bank. Plus, it can be an urgent flight from Europe as it’s located on the northwestern edge of the massive African continent.
In this blog, we’ll discuss five reasons to visit Morocco
1. Delicious Food Choices
Morocco offers exciting dishes for visitors. Moreover, the streets of Morocco allow a cheap budget for your food choices. You can find many open-air street markets in every city. Restaurants also offer a cheap budget if you order a Tajine or Moroccan couscous. Visitors always enjoy food that’s super flavorful and colorful as fresh spices like black pepper, turmeric, and cumin are used.
2. Shopping
Morocco offers traditional handicrafts that you can get as a “souvenir” to remember your trip. There are stunning options, from the delicately painted ceramics to the hand-woven rugs from the mountain. If you get a chance to have a Morocco trip, you must visit the Souks. These are the traditional Moroccan markets that bring local stuff. You’ll most probably find them rooted to block out the sun.
Here’s a suggestion: It’s your right to bargain for better prices than what’s demanded, as they usually charge a “tourist price” to begin with. But be respectful while bargaining. And seriously, it would be fair sometimes to buy a product without bargaining if it’s handmade and impressive.
3. Attention, Please! Cat Lovers
You may find this reason strange, but I had to share it. It’s about your love for cats. If you love cats, you must visit Morocco at least once. You’ll enjoy entertaining scenes as stray cats are everywhere. Locals are often feeding them food scraps. These cats are pretty chill, but be careful, as sometimes they sometimes come around and begin begging when you’ve got food in your hands. Some cats are so beautiful, but it’s better not to touch them as they can be dirty.
So, these were three exciting reasons to visit Morocco. Do you have any other reasons in your mind? Or are you planning to visit Morocco in the coming vacations? Let’s share your thoughts with me in the comments.
