Maryam Zahoor is a writer, storyteller, and creative thinker, born in Lahore, Pakistan. She is the daughter of Shahnaz Akhtar and Dr. Zahoor Ullah and has two older siblings: Tayyabah Zahoor (born July 3, 2001) and Tahir Zahoor (born June 30, 1999).
Education & Academic Background:
Maryam began her early education at Punjab High School before moving to Qazi Grammar School for preparatory classes. She completed her schooling at Divisional Public School, Lahore. A natural storyteller with a passion for learning, Maryam excelled in her studies, achieving 1004 out of 1100 marks in her matriculation exams. Although she initially pursued biology and the medical field, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted her FSC education, and she chose to shift her focus to a career in writing.
She completed her BS in Chemistry from the University of Lahore and is currently pursuing an MBA from Virtual University, Lahore.
Writing Career & Freelancing:
Maryam began her freelance writing career in 2020, right after completing her FSC. Her passion for writing led her to specialize in fiction, children’s literature, and scientific storytelling.
