My friend remained upset the whole day in the office. I felt sad for her but couldn’t identify what had happened to her. Different thoughts were racing in my mind, such as,
“Oh! I think she has a family problem. But it may seem awkward to interfere in someone’s family matters”.
“No! She has a financial problem. But boss has offered her bonus. Then, how is it possible”?
When various thoughts began disturbing my brain, I decided to ask my friend about the problem to have a comfortable mental state.
You wouldn’t believe what I heard from her. She said, “Actually, I couldn’t have 7 hours of sleep this night. Something extremely terrible is going to happen to me. I read on Instagram that if we don’t sleep at least 7 hours, our brain receives exceptional signals from nerve impulses, which can affect its functioning. Even we can have “brain cancer”.
I laughed so hard that everyone around was staring at me. It’s crucial to be conscious about your health. Seriously, how can anyone be so conscious about their health? And how can people believe this kind of stuff on social media?
That was a sudden laugh, but I felt sad for a long time. I discussed the matter with my friend, who is a professional psychologist. He observed the whole matter and concluded two statements that I have been following for years. They were life-changing statements.
“Being overconsious about wellness is just like having your medicine multiple times in order to enjoy more benefit. You know what will be the reaction of having multiple dose of your medicine”.
“Social media is just like an Indian drama serial where normal characters don’t exist. They are supposed to be either very positive or very negative. That means, social media doesn’t express things in natural ways. Different brands showcase things the way they want. They will present their product as one of the best product in the world, and make you feel fear of other related products”.
So, that’s all. Now, it’s your turn to decide whether you want a comfortable life or an unhealthy lifestyle.
