Once, a happy couple, Sunita and Rahul, lived in a small house. They only had one child named Rohan, which they both loved very much. Rahul worked hard to fulfil all Rohan’s desires.

Rahul: Sunita, one day, we will become rich enough to fulfil our child’s desires.

Sunita: I believe that your hard work will make our days good.

One day Rahul was coming from an office after being tired from late-night duty. Suddenly, a car coming from the opposite side hit him, and he fell. The people around called Sunita by his phone. Sunita steadily reached the hospital with Rohan. She was crying badly and praying for Rahul’s life. The doctor came outside from the room and said:

“A large amount of blood had been wasted from Rahul’s body. We could not save him. Sorry!”

Sunita felt like the sky had fallen upon her. She saw Rohan with painful eyes and thought about how she would bring him up alone.

Sunita began working in the people’s house as a maid. She worked hard to fulfil Rohan’s all needs and desires. Time kept on passing, and Rohan became young. He loved his mother too much and cared about her efforts and sacrifices. One day Rohan came home with a girl.

Rohan: Mother, She is Shella. We love each other and want to marry.

Sunita agreed due to his son’s happiness, and both were married. Sunita loved Shella too much, but Shella didn’t like her and had bad behaviour with her.

Sunita to Shella: Dear daughter, I have become old. I’m not able to do work. Kindly help me.

Shella: Uf, I’m not your servant. Your needs are fulfilled with my husband’s salary. So, you have to do some work in return.

Sunita didn’t complain to Rohan about that because she knew his happiness was associated with Shella, and she didn’t want to snatch his happiness. One day a baby of Shella and Rohan was born. Sunita was very happy that day. Due to the arrival of a new family member, the house’s budget increased. Shella started considering Sunita a burden on her home. She didn’t take care of her. Due to that behaviour, Sunita became ill, but even then, Shella didn’t take care of her. She didn’t give her medicines properly. When she felt that Rohan was taking care of Sunita more than she and her child, she became jealous. She started complaining day and night with Rohan.

“Your mother doesn’t love me. She always tries to insult me. I can’t live with her anymore.”

She tried to make Rohan against Sunita with her bitter words. One day she clearly said:

“If your mother lives with us, I’ll leave you. Now choose one of us”.

Rohan took Sunita to the old home by force. Sunita requested too much that she couldn’t live without his son and grandson, but Rohan didn’t listen to her single word.

One day Rohan was coming from the office. He had an accident. His legs were paralyzed. Shella cared much, but after some time, she said:

“I can’t waste my life anymore with a paralyzed person. You can’t do anything for me now. I’ll not waste my life with you.”

Rohan: I left my mom helpless for you, and you’re leaving me today. How can you do this?

Shella: A person who can do that with his mother is also not trustable to me.

When news of Rohan’s accident and condition reached Sunita, she became too depressed and moved toward him without remembering what Rohan did with him.

She cared day and night for Rohan and always prayed for his health. Rohan was too embarrassed about what he had done with his loving mother.

He said regretfully: “My dear mother, I was cruel towards you and you’re still looking after me.”

Sunita: When you’re in pain, I also feel pain.

Sunita’s words touched Rohan’s heart, and he clearly recognized the meaning of real love. He claimed that his mother was his first and last love.

So, from this, we can take a lesson that our mother sacrifices for us her whole life, and if we show bad behaviour to her, we can never live happily.
